[While Minato chops the vegetables, Shinjiro sets to boiling some noodles and getting some other ingredients together. The end result isn't quite an udon soup like they're familiar with, but it's close.
Two bowls are served at the table, and Shinji lets Minato sit down first before he takes his own seat.]

[Shinji might have been a little flattered, if he didn't feel quite so awkward right now. Once the soup cools, he digs in silently, but there's an itch that starts to build up under his skin. He dragged Arisato out here to check in with him, and yet....]
